Why do nearly three in ten country populations start with the digit 1, and how does a histogram expose Benford's law?
Short drills on what this video just taught. Write the code, run the checks, and reveal the answer only if you are stuck.
One line of the country file holds four tab-separated fields: rank, country, population and date. Split line on the tab character '\t', take the population field, keep only its digits (you may find in '0123456789' or str.replace useful), and convert the result with int(). Assign the number to pop.
